Two interesting new articles. Apparently as part of his plea baragin to talk, Hilton insured Dandy would have a good home.

Why does this monster have to have a good side. Its so much easier to blindly hate...

here and

Oh, and another new one here Looks like they may have enough evidence soon to definitively link him to Cheryl Dunlap and the Bryants

I'm not so sure about a "good side". I don't think this scum is capable of good...at least not at this point in his life. I can only assume that Hilton had a horrible time relating to humans...probably because he's a sociopath, and otherwise totally f***ed up in the head.(My theory anyway) He'd probably spent his life being shunned by others, because of his oddities, and wierdness. However dogs don't judge, and love humans blindly...even if we are horrible horrible people. And Dandy may have been the only creature capable of loving this monster. Perhaps that was the first time in Hilton's life he'd experienced unconditional love. Who knows...

I'm glad Dandy has a good home, and I'm especially glad Ella is with the Emersons..where I'm sure she'll be loved beyond words.

I can't even describe my loathing for that man..though I do pity the scared, confused, and probably abused little boy he once was. Makes me wonder how a monster like that is created...what kind of sick horrible things have to be done to you?

Sorry..I'm rambling now.

See, I disagree, here. It would be easier on my self to say there is no good in him, but even the cruelest monsters, even the sickest sociopaths can have a glimmer of love in their hearts.

This man loved his dog, and we can't cheat the world of that love through our hatred. He was incapable of loving or caring for humans, but there was something in there. It makes it harder; its so much easier to hate something we see as not even human, but I do think he's human...a very sick, damaged human. A toaster doesn't discontinue being a toaster because it burns the toast...its just a malfuntioning toaster.

I see your point, and I agree... he is a human, and probably does have a glimmer of goodness. Just wished he'd followed the little glimmer more often...
